The study

Drawn around the thing it has to hold.

A wall bracket for a cordless vacuum, modelled from the tube and the collar it sits under rather than from a guess at the shape. The collar is a C rather than a ring so the tube pushes in from the front, and a relief cut through its wall gives the arms something to flex against.

Two countersunk holes take the weight into the wall. The lip round the collar is there to stop the part splitting along its print lines.

My contribution

Measured, modelled, printed, fitted.

I measured the tube, drew the part, exported it, printed it and put it on the wall.

A study like this is only finished once the thing is carrying weight. Everything before that is a drawing of a bracket.
